Last weekend, my wife and I visited a friend at a major hospital in Boston. He underwent a surgery and we were glad to see him recovering well. The medical industry with its line of hospitals and doctors do a excellent job for people with emergency cases such as heart attacks, car accident injuries, gunshot wounds, sprained ankles, etc. These types of ailments are known as acute ailments, and the medical industry’s treatment using surgery and drugs are very appropriate for these cases.
However, when it comes to chronic ailments (diseases that take a long time to show up) such as diabetes, arthritis, joint pain, lower back pain, migraine headaches, heart weakness, high blood pressure, sciatica leg pain, epilepsy, thyroid problems, parkinsons and many others, the medical industry falls short. Using the same techniques of drugs and surgery as they use for acute cases, and applying it to chronic cases doesn’t resolve the ailment. The medical industry focuses on “managing the symptoms” and not on curing you of the ailment.

You’ll never hear a person with a chronic ailment like diabetes, arthritis or asthma saying, “I went to the doctor and took their medical drugs, and now I’m cured of diabetes”. No, those things never happen. More often than not, the patients has been prescribed drugs that he would have to take for a very long, long time, even till his death. His condition never improves, it stabilizes to a level where a person can function. But the person never gets better.
I have a family member who has been taking medical drugs for his hypertension for over 2 decades. It has never cured him of hypertension. It looks like he will be taking those drugs for the rest of his life.
None of the drugs the medical industry gives to the people heal and cure the person. They only “manage the symptoms”. For instance, if you have lower back pain and you go see the doctor, he may prescribe you drugs to lower the pain but you’ll have to keep taking that medication everytime you feel the pain. The problem is – those drug will never cure you of the back pain. After some time of taking the drug, when you go back to the doctor, he will then suggest the other thing he has to offer – surgery.
But even after you do the surgery, the lower back pain may still be there. Now what do you do? They may have you do some physical therapy. It may help reduce the pain but still does not cure your back pain.
Natural healing, on the other hand seeks to get to the root cause of the person’s ailment and resolves it. Whether it is herbs, energy work or hijama, all work to heal the person and get him better.
HijamaHerbs takes an integrative, mind-body approach to healing. It covers the physical/biological issue (neck pain, lower back pain, etc), with the emotional/psychological issue (suppressed stress, anger, etc) and the social/environmental issue (workplace, family) and also sihr/jinn issues. After the health evaluation is made, a treatment plan which includes hijama, herbs, emotional counseling, energy work and rukyah is performed.
HijamaHerbs sessions for ladies is performed by Nusrat Shah. For children, we normally do not perform hijama, however herbs, homeopathic remedies and emotional healing is performed.
