Removing Pain by Removing Dirty Blood

Many clients who come to us for a HijamaHerbs session with the purpose of removing pain are amazed to see the dirty blood that is coming out from their body. When they see the dark, sticky, lumpy blood coming out, they gasp at the sight of the dirty blood, saying they can’t believe there is such a bad thing residing in their body all this while.

I always tell them, “Well, it a good thing you came here to remove the dirty blood. Once we remove it, the pain and inflammation you feel will also be released, and you should feel much relief and relaxation after that, insha-Allah.”

The free floating white blood cells known as neutrophils, having the freedom to move around the body searching out toxins and pathogens, and getting rid of them.

When the blood is removed from the part of body experiencing pain and inflammation, it shows high concentrations of acids and inflammatory proteins often referred to as fibrin. The area of pain appears to act like a magnet for acids, toxins and pathogens. By removing the dirty blood from the local area, it brings about symptomatic relief, while encouraging fresh circulating blood to deliver healing nutrients and oxygen to the affected tissue, thus providing healing and resolution.

Hijama is the best way to withdraw dirty blood from the body. It is a prophetic healing tradition, directly recommended by the Prophet (sas), who is reported to have said, “Indeed the best of remedies you have is Hijama.” (Sahih Buhari 5371.

In a report published in Evidence-Based Complimentary and Alternative Medicine found that Hijama (cupping) significantly reduced pain in people with low back issues compared to usual care treatments.

Hijama (cupping) release tissues deep inside the body, relax tense muscles and ease stiffness associated with chronic back and neck pains, migraines, rheumatism, and fatigue. Some athletes have been known to use cupping therapy to naturally improve performance and reduce stiffness, muscle cramps, joint pains and scar tissue caused by injuries.

Hijama targets soft tissue by applying local pressure to pain points and areas of swelling. As blood flow increases within vessels and capillaries, tissues receive much-needed nutrients and oxygen. Cupping practitioners use pressure, heat, suctioning and needles above or below the site of injury, allowing for energy to travel along the energy channels that pass through the injury.

For help lowering pain, cups are commonly placed over the following areas: over the fleshy part of the shoulder blades, over the groin/loins, by the neck (for soothing tension headaches, toothaches or migraines) or around the lower back.

Hijama is particularly beneficial for relief from back pain, headaches, menstrual cramps and other painful conditions, experts say. In a 2011 study from China, after people with fibromyalgia had daily hijama sessions for 15 days, their pain symptoms and the number of tender points they had decreased considerably, effects that lasted for two additional weeks. More recently, a 2013 study from India found that when people with osteoarthritis of the knee had 11 hijama treatments over a 15-day period, they gained significant relief of pain, swelling and stiffness, results that were comparable to taking 650 milligrams of acetaminophen three times a day, according to the researchers.

The HijamaHerbs technique has been further developed as a means to open the energy channels of the body. These energy channels are conduits in the body through which energy flows to every part of the body and through every organ and tissue.

In every HijamaHerbs session, we always start from working on the back. This is because there are five energy channels in the back. When these channels are opened, they allow invigorating energy to travel the whole length of the body and revitalizes the whole body system.

The HijamaHerbs system causes tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins.

In short, the HijamaHerbs session brings fresh blood to the area and improves circulation and is widely used for the relief of aches and pain.
