Last week, a woman came to me with issues of asthma and allergies. Her husband said she suffers from coughing and wheezing for quite some time now and she had to use the inhaler now and then. But for the past couple of weeks, her condition had gotten worse where she has to use the inhaler every day.
The first thing I normally do is to check for blockages in the body. I found blockages in her mid back and front chest area. After the physical examination, I did an emotional diagnosis based on the Rahmah emotional healing protocol. This led us to discover that her asthma was coming from a strong fear that was gripping her lungs. We discussed about it and she revealed the basic reason behind the fear. I advised her to come in for a Rahmah emotional healing session to work out the emotional blockage.
When a person is suffering from asthma, the trachea, the vehicle that carries the air in and out of the lungs, is inflamed. This is the cause of the difficulties in breathing. The breathing crisis can often create panting and stuffiness.
The frequent symptoms of asthma are:
– Lack of air
– Irritating Coughs
– Tightness of the chest
– Difficulties functioning in daily activities
– Excessive tiredness
These symptoms prevent the proper absorption of air and energy into our bodies which is primarily caused by emotional reasons. And this results in creating emotional blockages in the body.
A person develops asthma symptoms when he/she has problems dealing with their emotions and expressing their true feelings and opinions. This may have come about when the person had experienced profound traumatic emotional or physical shock some time before. For example, if the person as a child tried to express their feelings, but was ridiculed or told to shut up, or told that they have a loud mouth. The child suffered embarrassment or humiliation that was painful for the child.
In order to protect the person from further painful embarrassment, the mind/body represses their abilities to express their feelings. And it may repress their expression by not allowing the person to speak freely. In asthma persons, free expression is repressed to the point of suffocation.
The lungs are the energetic organs responsible for keeping the emotional records of all the expressive experiences of the person. The lungs inability to process vital energy into the entire body comes from the need to be accepted, from the self-imposed pressure to contain its own emotional needs.
Another of the emotional causes of asthma is a deep cry from the inner being to be loved and to be cared for. In the unconscious mind, there is the need to express themselves as stronger than they really are and to hide their sensitive side.
Another of the causes of asthma is the person’s need to control their life’s external situations. The person may have extreme difficulties in dealing with boundaries, and unable to say no to other people’s demands.
Another of the causes of asthma may come from the feeling of being rejected by their mother and father, and this feeling may very well have been perceived since the life inside the uterus, before the actual birth.
